Most common auto repair questions ( & answers)

Car repairs take up a lot of money, effort and your precious time– and if not done correctly, you can end up with a vehicle that isn’t safe to drive on the road. That’s why it’s so important to have a mechanic you can talk to. If you think of anything you want to know about your car, you should be able to ask your mechanic! In most situations, they’ll be glad to help you learn more.

We hope the questions below  are simply starting points for really good conversation and for getting to know more about your car.

1- How Often Should I Have My Brakes Checked

Can you count how many times having good brakes have saved you from a major accident? You probably can’t. Brakes are your stopping power. So YES, it is important to have your brakes checked often. In fact, have them checked every chance that you get. Your mechanic might recommend replacing them when they are worn down. Not replacing means that your brakes will wear on your brake discs and cause more costly repairs down the line.

2- What Type of Oil Do I Need?

There’s a short answer for this one — check the owner’s manual.

Long answer — Once you read the manual. Find out whether your vehicle uses synthetic or conventional oil. Conventional oil finishes sooner and needs to be changed more often than synthetic oil.

3- What Happens When I Don’t Change My Oil?

Go long enough without an oil change, and it could eventually cost you your car. Once motor oil diminishes, it no longer draws heat from the engine. The engine might overheat and blow up, costing you a long list of repairs and maybe even hospital bills…

4- How Long Will My Auto Body Repair Warranty Last?

You should definitely be asking the  company that is going to be handling the repairs of your vehicle this question. You will be spending a lot of money on vehicle repairs, so you need to be confident in the longevity of it.

5- Do I Really Need Winter Tires?

Yes, yes and yesss !.

When it comes to driving in winter weather, you will be spending a lot of time on slippery roads. A unique feature of winter tires is deeper tread depths and unique tread patterns that will reduce snow buildup and provide better traction on the snow or watery roads. They also help you get up slippery hills, and you will be cruising to your destination with complete peace of mind.
